Check Out The Latest Study Results : Personality Influences Weight Loss

Saito Hitomi and her fellow Doshisha University in Japan have been monitoring 101 patients of the Obesity Clinical Hospital of Kansai Medical University for 6 months. And have found that those who start treatment of thinning with a personality that tends to optimism lose weight more slowly, while those who are able to improve their self esteem along the thinning treatment more quickly than their peers.

The results confirm the findings of previous studies on how some negative emotions (pessimism, low self esteem, …) promote behavioral changes. However, once treatment begins, increasing optimism and improve the “ego” may help maintain healthy lifestyle acquired in the clinic, conclude the authors in the journal Biopsychosocial Medicine.
